Cincinnati launches high speed extruder

As a world-famous supplier of extrusion equipment, at this year's K2007 Germany, Cincinnati Extrusion Technology Co., Ltd. will showcase high-speed extruders with extrusion speeds of up to 6 meters per minute.

High-speed extrusion of profiles with a multi-cavity of 6 m/min can be achieved with Cincinnati's high-energy ARGOS 135 parallel twin-screw extruder, which has been proven by two users. One is the world-famous manufacturer of door and window profiles, the main profile production speed of 6 m / min double-cavity high-speed extrusion. Two KONOS72 conical twin-screw coextrusion machines from Cincinnati were deployed, and the ARGOS135 extrusion line reached a production capacity of 1200 kg/h. Thanks to the optimized mold design and the internal cooling technology of the profiles, a line speed of 30% higher than usual 4.5 m/min is achieved and safe and smooth continuous production. The three extruders can be easily controlled by a three-in-one integrated control system. The highly compact KONOS extruder makes the melt flow path between the extruder and the mold extremely short.

The other is ALUPLAST in Wartberg/Krems, Austria, using Cincinnati's ARGOS135 high-energy extruder, equipped with an 8-cavity mold from Austria's Greiner, and 8 glass beades for simultaneous high-speed extrusion of 6 m/min. , equivalent to a single cavity extrusion of 48 meters / minute. This is the first time in plastic extrusion applications.

Thanks to the 4-axis drive technology that guarantees maximum torque transmission, the ARGOS extruder achieves its highest production levels and thanks to the perfect arrangement of its 8-step series thrust bearings, it can withstand a maximum back pressure of 500 bar. Especially when using co-extrusion dies.

To ensure temperature control of the screw core, all screws are equipped with the well-known maintenance-free internal cooling system Intracool. As an extrusion specialist, the continuous improvement of the control system of the equipment itself is also a prominent feature of Cincinnati, and has successfully developed a WINDOWS XP-based internal computer control system with touch screen operation.
